Mission
“Our mission is to engage students in geographical concepts, issues and solutions through interactive learning experiences, community outreach and collaborative projects. We aim to cultivate critical thinking, environmental stewardship and an appreciation for global diversity, while providing a platform for students to share knowledge and develop leadership skills in the field of geography.”
Objectives
- Promote geographic awareness: To encourage students to explore and understand the physical, human and practical aspects of geography and their relevance to daily life.
- Foster environmental responsibility: To raise awareness about environmental conversation, sustainability and the impact of human activities on the planet.
- Encourage experimental learning: To organize field trips, workshops and hands-on projects that helps students connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications.
- Inspire careers in geography: To introduce students to career paths in geography, such as cartography, urban planning, climatology and GIS.
- Support global awareness: To cultivate a sense of global citizenship by discussing global challenges like climate change, urbanization and natural disasters.
- Apply knowledge to practical life: To provide students with an understanding of practical geographic work, including real world applications such as climate change analysis, urban planning, land management and sustainable development practices.
