The Commerce Day “VINIMAYA VIYAMANA ‘24”

The Commerce Day “VINIMAYA VIYAMANA ‘24” which was organized by the Commerce society of Visakha Vidyalaya was held on the 8th of August 2024 in the school main hall. The main objective of this event was to focus on the Apparel Industry that contributes to bring foreign exchange to the country and to bestow an honorary title of reputation to the women who are engaged in this field and to popularize in the society. Not only do they weave fabrics, they weave the foreign exchange of the country’s economy and in turn they contribute to weave the intricate designs of everyday people’s web of life. Thus, these women were awarded with the honorary title of “VIYAMANVAIRYA” in recognition of their service.
Professor Lakshman R. Watawala, Secretary to the Ministry of Industrial Affairs Mr. Shantha Weerasinghe, Dr.Anil Perera, Group Director of Capital Maharaja Group Mr. Shan Weerasekara, Human Resource Directress of MAS who is also a past Visakhian Ms. Sasini Senerath, and many other professionals participated in this occasion in the presence of these dignitaries Ms. Bhagya Seneviratne was symbolically awarded this honorary title. She is an inspirational character who currently holds a high position in the Apteral Industry regardless of her disabilities due to her unfortunate accident.
The Principal of Visakha Vidyalaya, Mrs. Manomi Seneviratne, members of the staff, Invited Schools, Parents and Media Personnel were Present on this moment of offering the title of reputation. The event was colorful with many Intellectual discussions and aesthetic activities.
