Special Events
On the 8th of April 2025, a special Bodhi Puja was held at Visakha Vidyalaya to graciously welcome and bless the newest members of our school community—those who achieved top marks in the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination. May their journey at Visakha be illuminated with wisdom, growth, and success.
In remembrance of the esteemed founder of Visakha Vidyalaya, Mrs. Jeremias Dias, a Bodhi Puja and a special Pirith sermon were held on Tuesday, 25th March 2025, at the school Bodhi premises. On the following day, Wednesday the 26th, an almsgiving ceremony was organized at the Vajirarama Temple in Colombo 5, with the participation of 30 members of the Maha Sangha.

2024 සිදුකරන ලද ක්‍රියාකාරකම්:
- කොළඹ විශාඛා විද්‍යාලීය ආදී කතෘතුමිය ජෙරමිය දියෙස් මැතිණිය අනුස්මරණය කිරීම උදෙසා සර්ව රාත්‍රික පරිත්‍රාන ධර්ම දේශනය හා සාංඝික දහවල් දානමය පින්කමක් සිදුකිරීම.
- විදුහල්පතිතුමියගේ ජන්ම දිනය උදෙසා ආශිර්වාදාත්මක බෝධි පූජාවක් පැවැත්වීම.
- සෑම පොහොය දිනයකටම සමගාමීව පෙර පොහොය හා පසු පොහොය ධර්ම දේශනා වැඩසටහන් සිදුකිරීම.
- වෙසක් පොහොය දිනට සමගාමීව පාසල තුළ වෙසක් කූඩු තරගයක් තරගයක් පැවැත්වීම.
- පාසල් ශිෂ්‍යාවන්ගේ කවි නිර්මාණ හා චිත්‍ර ඇතුළත් වෙසක් කාඩ් මුද්‍රණය කර බෙදා හැරීම.
- පොසොන් පොහොයට සමගාමීව පාසල තුළ පොසොන් බැති ගී ප්‍රසංගයක් හා දන්සල් පැවැත්වීම.
- ඇසළ පොහොය දිනට සමගාමීව සීල සමාදාන වැඩසටහනක් පැවැත්වීම.
- ශ්‍රී දළදා වහන්සේ උදෙසා පුරා දිනයක මුරුතැන් පූජාවක් පැවැත්වීම.
- මහරගම අපේක්ෂා රෝහල සඳහා අවශ්‍ය ඖෂධ පරිත්‍යාග කිරීම.
- කහවත්ත කනිෂ්ඨ විද්‍යාලයේ පුස්තකාලය සඳහා පොත් පරිත්‍යාග කිරීම.
- අනුරාධපුර ජය ශ්‍රී මහා බෝධීන් වහන්සේ උදෙසා පුරා දිනයක දානමය පූජාවක් පැවැත්වීම හා සාංඝික දානමය පිංකම.
- ‘බුද්ධාභිමහිම’24 සම්බුද්ධ වර්ෂා’ සඟරාව එළිදැක්වීම.
